Celebrating One Year with Charley Cookland and Stacey Hall
This month, we’re celebrating two fantastic first-year milestones as Charley Cookland, Candidate Consultant at our West Yorkshire Hub, and Stacey Hall, Recruitment Consultant at our Northamptonshire Hub, both mark their one-year anniversary with Stafforce.
Although based in different locations and supporting different areas of the business, Charley and Stacey share a passion for helping people find the right opportunities and delivering a positive experience for clients and candidates alike. Over the past 12 months, they have each developed their expertise, built strong relationships, and become valued members of their respective teams.
To celebrate their first anniversary, we caught up with Charley and Stacey to reflect on their journeys so far, the highlights of their first year, and what they’re looking forward to as they continue to grow their careers with Stafforce.
Charley Cookland – Candidate Consultant, West Yorkshire Hub
What’s been your favourite part of your first year as a Candidate Consultant?
My favourite part of being a Candidate Consultant so far is working closely with candidates while also working with clients and colleagues. While in this position, I get the ability to speak to a variety of people every day, learning their experiences and helping them take the next step.
How do you help create a positive experience for candidates?
I create a positive experience for candidates by being consistent with communication and always being approachable, I focus on making the recruitment process as smooth as possible and ensuring everyone gets the support they need throughout.
What’s something you’ve learned about recruitment over the past 12 months?
Over the past 12 months, I have learned how much of an impact recruiters can have on someone’s career. Even small things like offering advice, providing support or keeping all candidates updated can make such a big difference to their experience. Great recruitment is built on relationships, communication, and trust with both the candidates and the clients.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the West Yorkshire Hub?
What I have enjoyed is feeling like a valued member of the team, everyone’s contributions are recognised and celebrated which creates a positive workspace. The West Yorkshire Hub is a very warm and welcoming branch, I have enjoyed every minute of working here!
What are your goals for year two?
In my second year working in recruitment, I want to build on the experience I’ve gained so far and become more established within my role. I’d like to continue growing my confidence, improving my recruitment knowledge, and taking on new challenges.
Stacey Hall – Recruitment Consultant, Northamptonshire Hub
What’s been the standout moment from your first year with the Northampton Hub?
My standout moment would be getting promoted from Candidate Consultant to Recruitment Consultant.
What have you enjoyed most about working as a Recruitment Consultant?
I have enjoyed building relationships with current and new clients as well as speaking with different candidates to find the right fit for them.
What’s one lesson you’ve learned during your first year in recruitment?
The best results come from building genuine relationships, listening more, talking, and earning trust over time.
How do you go about building lasting relationships with clients and candidates?
I have built lasting relationships by being honest, keeping in regular contact and focusing on earning trust rather then just making placements.
What are you hoping to achieve in your second year with Stafforce?
I am looking to build more lasting relationships, increase successful placements, and continue developing my skills as a recruiter.
Congratulations to Charley and Stacey on reaching their one-year milestone with Stafforce. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and people-first approach have made a positive impact within their teams and the communities they support. We’re proud of everything they’ve achieved during their first year and look forward to seeing both continue to develop, succeed, and contribute to the ongoing success of Stafforce in the years ahead.
