Celebrating 20 years with Tony Boorman

We are proud of our long service records, and this month we have two people celebrate their 20 year anniversaries! 20 years is a long time in a business, where they will have witnessed many changes and played a vital part in the growth of our business. We caught up to Tony Boorman who started out as a branch manager in Grimsby and is now Managing Director of Stafforce to ask him about his 20-year career with us.

What enticed you to join Stafforce 20 years ago?

Back then, Stafforce was a small business that had won a contract of equal size which presented an opportunity for me to showcase my talents, make a difference and climb the corporate ladder.

In 20 years, you must have learned a lot! If you were starting now what advice would you give yourself?

I would still work with that same passion, urgency and desire to win but, I would be more cooperative and understanding of others and not so single-minded.

After 20 years, what motivates you to continue to strive to be your best?

Three things motivate me, the first is the people I work with. Most of us spend the majority of our waking hours with our work colleagues. My work colleagues are my work family and working together towards shared goals, seeing them grow, succeed and succeeding together, is very motivating. The second is winning. I embrace every challenge presented to me as an opportunity to gain a positive outcome. The third and final thing that motivates me is my family whom I do everything I do for.
