Production Operative

Location: Llantrisant

Pay rates: Days/Afternoons (alternating) £14.83

Shifts: Days/Afternoons (Mon – Fri 6-2 / Mon – Fri 2-10 rotating).

Responsibilities:

  • Wrapping and packing bespoke products to the highest of standards
  • Ensuring correct storage, labelling, segregation, and safe handling of materials in all areas
  • Transporting goods through different areas of the factory
  • Preparing products for shipping and completing associated paperwork
  • Ensuring quality and production targets are met

*Both DBS & Financial checks shall be run, at no cost to the applicant. Must be over 18 years old.

Cleaner (Part-Time)

Location: Llantrisant

Pay rate: £12.71

Shifts: 16 – 20 hours per week, various available

Responsibilities:

  • To maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the Royal Mint experience visitor centre, coffee shop and offices on a part-time basis.
  • To follow all guidance and training, especially in the use of chemical cleaning products.

*Both DBS & Financial checks shall be run, at no cost to the applicant. Must be over 18 years old.

Precious Metals Fabricator

Location: Llantrisant

Pay rate: £12.71

Shifts: Days (7am – 3pm) Mon – Fri

Responsibilities:

Polishing:

  • Assist in achieving a sleek finish on jewellery pieces, inspecting for imperfections, and maintaining consistency.

Drawing Down Wire:

  • Learn to use specialized tools to draw metal wire accurately for various jewellery components.

Soldering:

  • Assist in creating durable connections within jewellery pieces, following safety protocols.

Drilling:

  • Help in jewellery assembly and decoration, ensuring accuracy according to design specifications.

Simple Stone Setting:

  • Learn basic setting techniques to securely place gemstones into jewellery mounts with precision.

Cleaning up of Castings:

  • Assist in removing excess material from cast jewellery pieces to prepare them for further processing.

Filing and Profiling:

  • Learn to shape and refine metal components, ensuring dimensional consistency and smooth surfaces.

Striking Metal Blanks:

  • Assist in shaping metal blanks for jewellery production, maintaining accuracy and uniformity.

Laser Engraving:

  • Gain experience operating laser engraving equipment to add designs or markings to jewellery pieces.

Use of Laser Welder:

  • Learn laser welding techniques to join metal components with precision and minimal distortion.
