What not to do on the first day of your new job!
Congratulations you have secured a new job and you are really excited about starting with your new employer. However, think on – your work is not done yet. It is key that you do the best you can to settle in well and impress your new boss and work colleagues.
People form opinions of you within the first few days so the following is definitely what NOT to do on your first day.
Arrive late!
Refuse to do something.
Go out drinking the night before.
Park in your bosses car parking space.
Ask to go to lunch early or leave early.
Yawn during your induction.
Criticise anyone’s dress sense.
Say you are single and ready to mingle.
