This week hosts Men’s Health Week, a good opportunity to raise awareness about prioritising men’s health. Did you know that after King Charles announced his problem with an enlarged prostate, over 16,000 people visited the relevant NHS webpage, and Prostate Cancer UK‘s online risk checker doubled in the number of users? This shows the impact honest sharing can make.

We want to remind you that you all have access to free 24/7 NHS GPs quickly, via phone or video-call e-consultations, and even request private prescriptions. Last year, during Pride Month, we interviewed Vicky Milne, one of our Client Relationship Managers, who is proudly part of the LGBTQ+ community, to gain insight into her personal experience.

Are You As Excited As We Are For The Euros?

We’re kicking off the fun here at Stafforce!

We like to mix work with play here at Stafforce, and with the Euros starting this week, we’ve got a month full of excitement lined up.

Our teams will take part in activities including, sweepstakes and football-themed games with lots of prizes to win. Plus, we’ll be looking for the best-themed office, best-dressed, and top fantasy football managers. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, even if they aren’t a football fan.

Our teams will track the matches with our branded 2024 Euros Wall Planners. If you swing by any of our offices this month, you might see some awesome football decor and smell some delicious delicacies, as all of our teams are celebrating the different countries by cooking up their home foods.

2023 Satisfaction Survey Results/2024 Feedback

We value your feedback as it helps us improve our services and helps us review our processes and improve our services to you. We have collated all your feedback over the last 12 months and prepared a summary of the results. We appreciate everyone who provided feedback, as it enables us to identify areas for improvement and recognise our strengths.

    91% of our respondents were happy with their working conditions. There does show some minor room for improvement however it's a great start with an average score of 4/5.

How Stafforce Gives Back Through Volunteering

Last week marked the 40th anniversary of National Volunteers’ Week. Here at Stafforce, our mission is to enable people to be their best; giving back to our local communities is our duty, and that is why we provide our employees with volunteer days. This allows our teams to take time out of work to support local charities and community projects. 

Here are a few examples from our colleagues of ways in which they give back through volunteering.

Nikki Heath, our Branch Network Operations Manager, became friends with a candidate whilst helping him find employment. The friendship blossomed over time, and she actually became his best man. Sadly, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer and spent his last few days in the care of St Andrew’s Hospice. Due to their exceptional care, Nikki continues to support the hospice by volunteering one Saturday a month to help run the reception.

Mick Carr, our Trainer, has been volunteering with Search and Rescue Lincolnshire as a Trustee, Responder and Training Lead for a year and a half. The primary role of the group is to assist the Police in searching for high-risk and vulnerable missing persons. Mick and the team’s most notable achievement was helping to evacuate an elderly lady, 6 cats and 5 dogs from her flooded property and delivering them to a place of safety.

Claire Faulkner, Business Manager and Maisie Waters, Recruitment Consultant from our South Yorkshire Hub took the opportunity to visit their local animal shelter, Rain Rescue. The shelter aims to support animals in crisis all around the local area.

The team wanted to offer their time to support in whatever way they could. In return, these lovely cats and kittens showed their appreciation with one-on-one time including lots of cuddles.

As we know pets can have a positive impact on our mental health, scientifically proving to reduce anxiety. This was proven as Claire and Maisie said they left the shelter feeling refreshed, recharged, and raring to get back to work.
