Rotherham-headquartered nationwide recruiter, Stafforce, has appointed Steven Street Director of recruitment and Tony Boorman Director of Strategic Partnerships.
Street will continue as managing director of Relay Recruitment, the West and North Yorkshire firm he co-founded in 1996, which was turning over £9m when it was acquired by the £40m Stafforce last February, but has assumed additional responsibilities.
These include a roving role advising employers on how to boost business performance and running Stafforce’s Liverpool and Wales territories, as well as its TEK Recruitment Solutions brand, with offices in Sheffield, Derby and Wolverhampton.
Boorman steps up from Business Manager of the Food Division. His career began in Food Manufacturing, which equipped him ideally for sourcing staff for the supply and logistics chain, a major part of Stafforce’s activities there.
As Director of Strategic Partnerships, he has been tasked with establishing the company as the country’s leading recruiter through the development of a raft of products and support services and improved client engagement.
The board appointments are central to the national player’s drive to widen its reach, capabilities, client base and candidate pool.
Chief Executive, Ian Anderson, said: “Stafforce is on a busy period of growth and diversification, which has seen it open new branches and embedded client operations and acquire a range of strongly performing companies with unique capabilities and shared philosophies over the last year, including Relay, TEK and CenFRA (Centre for Food Robotics and Automation). The aim is to add value to our offer to employers, with cutting edge HR services complemented by business consultancy and support.”
