Stafforce sponsored celebration raises thousands for charity and wounded soldiers

Amputee war hero, Ben Parkinson, was guest of honour at a spectacular fundraising event at the Magna Centre, Rotherham. Stafforce, sponsored the occasion and helped organise proceedings.

The Burns Night gala also featured the world famous Band of the Scots Guards, who had marched through the town earlier in the day, delighting thousands of spectators.  It was organised and charied by Stafforce Founder and Chairman, Nick Cragg, with proceeds from the celebrations to be split between PHASE Worldwide, a charity that works to improve the lives of remote Himalayan communities, and The Scots Guards Colonel’s Fund, which supports injured guardsmen.

He said: “The word ‘hero’ is bandied around all too readily, but Ben Parkinson is the genuine article and we were honoured that he was able to attend to support us.

“We were delighted that, like everybody else who attended, Ben immensely enjoyed an event that was unique to Rotherham and which is set to achieve our target of raising £20,000 for the two charities.”
