It is over seven years since the software team at Nicholas Associates Software (part of Stafforce) began working with Education Business Futures to develop a bespoke and online placement management system which now supports the successful delivery of work

The story began in 2003 when the software team helped Education Business Futures (EBF) to migrate their old work experience system into a fully web-enabled solution. Over the past seven years there have been many upgrades, some to ensure that the system maintains its cutting edge, others to meet the needs of a changing landscape in the education sector.

Today the placement management system is used by 20,000 users, including EBF administrators, school staff and pupils. It includes details of 16,000 employers and EBF manage the work experience placements for over 130 schools across Nottinghamshire. Every year EBF is responsible for managing over 11,000 placements and the system is key to their success..
