Organise shift patterns so full cover is available at all times
Hours of work 8am - 8pm this will include weekends and may include nights when required to conduct urgent repairs out of production times.
Ensure machines are greased and relevant paperwork completed.
Write and implement preventative maintenance plan.
Order parts.
Liaise with factory manager with timescales on planned repairs.
Ensure job request forms are completed correctly.
Engineering start-up sheets are completed.
Take part in BRC, production and health & safety meetings
Responsible that a clean safe working environment is implemented at all times
Liaise with outside contractors regarding projects.
Report directly to General Manager.
Lots of hard work, long hours and some tough managing to be done initially but this will settle down once this department is organised. The successful applicant must have a proven engineering background and must be competent to carry out electrical work. The successful candidate shall lead a team of 3 engineers and must be eager to get stuck in with day to day repairs and manage long term projects.
